House of Sticks by Ly Tran
4.0
This was our book club's selection this month and I'm really looking forward to our group discussion. This memoir will surely give us a lot to talk about.
What I liked best about this book was the way the author was able to give an honest yet graceful depiction of her family and their struggles after they immigrated to the United States. It allowed me to get a glimpse into a world that I knew very little about and I'm very appreciative of that. That's what writing is supposed to do.
Definitely worth reading.
