“when you were alive, did you ever love someone?”
I couldn’t put this book down over the last 150 pages. Stephen’s writing improved so much over the course of the series, and I couldn’t have imagined a better ending, even if I got emotionally wrecked on the way. Nothing prepared me forEmma meeting Gabriel in the world of the dead. , the word ‘sobbing’ doesn’t even begin to cover the sheer amount of crying I was doing. Also, rated a 4.75 out of sheer pettiness that Gabriel wasn’t the final keeper . I was manifesting that so hard, but I’m also partly glad it never happened as I think that seeing the three children have to be faced with the reality of killing Gabriel really would’ve set me off . An amazing ending to an amazing series. Bravo
