Reality is Not What it Seems: The Journey to Quantum Gravity by Carlo Rovelli

5.0

5/5 an exciting read, really good book for anyone that has even a slight interest in physics. I don’t usually read popsci but coming from a background of physics, I had a really good time. Half of this book builds on the most important discoveries of physics from antiquity to the present problem with GR and QM. I enjoy reading about them in context and the efforts taken to make the concepts easily understandable.

The rest of the book introduces loop quantum gravity well. It is written by a quantum gravity phycist after all. I wish there was more of a discussion on the other theories, or how LQG is incomplete.
