this was like The Nanny but not as good
the pacing was weird? the characters barely had chemistry. there were some cute moments but I didn't get that giddy feeling I usually get when reading... bleh
The third-act breakup tho, so dumb, the epilogue was the best part
Very slow burn, not much romance
I did like Aurora's character development tho, v relatable
I don't think I would have gotten through this if it wasn't for the audiobook!!
the fact that his name “Mike Martin” is constantly being said. God I almost lost my mind hearing it over and over. I get it his name is Mike fucking Martin ughhhhhh
also as a Canadian(born and raised with parents+entire family born and raised here), I feel embarrassed, and some of the things 'Canadians do' in this aren't 100% true.
Tim Hortons is awful and I've never had Nanaimo bars, also never heard the term 'hoser' before (maybe I live under a rock idk🤷🏻♀️)
anyway, it was ok, not good; not bad, I kinda liked some parts but in the end it was just OK
