As soon as I saw that Christina Lauren had written a modern retelling of Tangled , I knew I would love it, and love this book, I did.

The plot is what you expect - it's a retelling of Tangled , but the magic of this story comes from the two extremely enjoyable and likable main characters - Ren and Fitz. Ren has been hidden from society by her parents, but negotiates going to college at twenty-two. She is innocent, naive, but extremely kind and intelligent. Fitz is the campus golden boy with his sights set on graduation and moving on with his life. Fitz doesn't know what to do with sunshiny Ren and he has his own secrets and motivations that don't involve this strange woman.

TANGLED UP IN YOU is charming, hilarious, and oh-so swoony. Ren and Fitz have incredible banter and overall their relationship is simply enjoyable to read.

‘I think under that cocky shell, you’re a big softie.’
‘I assure you, no female has ever called me that before.’
‘Fine. You’re a little softie.’

‘It’s so beautiful!’
‘It’s a Holiday Inn.’
‘Even the name sounds magical.’

This story charms with not only its romantic elements, but also with adventure and suspense. TANGLED UP IN YOU is an endearing modern fairy tale with so much heart and a touch of magic. Christina Lauren are wonderful storytellers, and I thoroughly enjoyed this read!
