Tearmoon Empire: Volume 1 by Nozomu Mochitsuki
5.0
As a teen librarian, I highly recommend this for purchase. It is a gentle read, though it features brief mentions of being executed -- I know, seems brutal, but that's more of a backdrop than something gruesomely depicted.
This book features a princess who was executed and somehow sent back into the past with her memories intact. She has a chance to change her future. Despite the grim beginnings, this story is mostly fluffy, fun, and sweet. The translation for this book is one of the best I've read so far for light novels.
As I was reading this, I could picture scenes of this like it was an anime. Then I looked it up. Apparently TODAY it was announced as an upcoming show in 2023. Nice.
