The Tradition by Jericho Brown

5.0

I had the privilege of hearing Jericho Brown speak at Babson College last year where I purchased this collection of poetry he'd recently released. I avoided it for almost a year because I knew it would boldly examine our culture of crisis in a way that would probably tear apart the shreds of safety I have left. Needless to say, I was right. This poetry is beautiful, complex, and wonderful. His duplex poems are genius. A must-read collection.
