Keeping 13 by Chloe Walsh

4.0

Format: Ebook

Like the first book, I found this very engaging. I also thought we saw more character development in this book (particularly from Shannon) so that was good to see. Despite the horrific nature of certain events in the book, it was an easy read and the side characters were great. I’m excited to read the stories of others in the series as, at times, I think they do carry the story so I am keen to get more from their perspective.

I also liked that in this book we got the ‘after’. So Binding 13 very much follows the development of Shannon and Johnny’s relationship and Keeping 13 is a bit more about their relationship once established. So often, we finish a book and it ends with the couple getting together, or we have an epilogue several years later. Here it follows straight on, and that felt realistic to me.
