The politics of it all got a little too heavy for me at times. I was expecting it to be a little more like the first book where the relationships seemed really heavy but I didn’t get much of that here. I also felt that Cole and Lucky weren’t as close so when the betrayal happened in the end I was surprised but not to a further extent if they had been a bit closer. Have to say though, I loved all the plot twists. I was a bit upset Digery was taken away so quickly again at the end just as he had finally arrived. But that revelation about Lucky...damn...I’m pretty hyped to see how this all ends now. I hope it’s bittersweet.
