I didn't like how there wasn't much development of the connection between the FMC and MMC. They lusted after each other, but it seemed like the MMC's deeper feelings for the FMC resulted from wanting to feel love like what Cross feels for Lyssa more than from him actually being drawn to HER. The way his feelings were explained made it seem like he would have had feelings for anyone who happened to be at Cross and Lyssa's house when he got there. It just so happened to be the FMC.
I didn't mind the FMC resisting because it did all happen very quickly and I could understand her being wary of the MMC. With that being said, her feelings didn't seem genuine by the end of the book because of the lack of relationship development on page.
Overall, I liked the continued storyline from book one and liked the FMC and MMC. I would have liked more development of their relationship because it seemed very shallow throughout the book. I will give three stars because the story was enjoyable but so much more could have been done with it.
