Dragonwitch by Anne Elisabeth Stengl
5.0
My second favorite Goldstone book. The ships are to die for, the Christian elements are true and real and just right, and the worldbuilding is rich and deep (what else can one expect from AES?).
I could say a lot more, but I won't. I'll just tell you: go read this series. Now. (Start with Heartless and read in publication order ;)
She felt herself caught up in the greatness of a story far too big for her mortal understanding, caught up and carried in a rolling current. But she was unafraid. For the first time, she believed she was truly alive.
