A solid ending!! I was worried I wouldn’t like this book since I had heard a few people say books 2 and 3 were unnecessary but I really, really enjoyed it. I especially liked this one more than book 2 for the sheer fact we got more chapters from Harper and Rhen’s perspectives. I really loved the end and who ends up with the throne, it felt right, especially with Rhen’s character development. I really appreciate that Harper is still fighting with her feelings for Rhen and what he’s going through, it feels more like real relationships - where you have to really accept someone for even their darker sides, not just the perfection we usually see in these books. The only thing I wish the ending would have included would have been an epilogue a couple years later, for the sheer fact that I really wanted some resolution with Harper and Rhen, as we never really see them have the full realization of love that I kind of have come to expect. But overall I’m not mad I read the entire trilogy and I think the author had a really clear idea of what they wanted to accomplish across 3 books and did it really well!! :)
