Bride by Ali Hazelwood

4.0

Listen, it's my first Hazelwood ride. I heard of her MO (big, bulky, oversized men) and had no opinion about that. But when news of a chick-lit twist hit, I couldn't resist and dive into it headfirst.

And you know what? I had a great time! Imagine a classic werewolf-vampire-human fantasy setting brought into our contemporary world, sprinkled with a not-too-heavy yet over-chewed plot and served with a straight and raw Omegaverse load. It's an eclectic mix, to say the least, but hey, sometimes the most unexpected blends make quite entertaining adventures. But I know I will not remember anyone except the two main characters, barely.

Kudos to Thérèse Plummer, the audiobook narrator for really embodying the story and bringing tones and real emotions to her performance.
