Drew by Siobhan Davis
5.0
WHAT A FINALE! My heart is still in my throat! It's a bittersweet farewell to the dark, depraved, and utterly addictive Rydeville Elite world that I will always adore, but Siobhan gives this must anticipated story, and my beloved Drew, a fantastic ending. Drew, the 8th and final book in this fantastic series, delivers on everything I've come to love about this world. It's gripping, it's intense, it's mind-blowingly twisting, heart-wrenching and fierce. This story one not only befitting the titular characters, whose HEA we have long been anticipating, but that of the entire crew. The overarching narrative finds a brilliant and jawdropping close....but not, of course, without more Rydeville drama and intrigue.
It's hard to say much about this story, because revealing just the main characters alone is a spoiler. But what a tall order this book was for Siobhan Davis, not only bringing together a story that has spanned years, multiple couples, and touched multiple worlds, but one that has a juggernaut of expectation (and preference) from Rydeville fans and their strong opinions about where Drew should end up....and with whom. You won't find those answers in this review, but all I can say is trust in Siobhan Davis and the process. This road to his HEA has been a Herculean one, and even if it took a path I did not anticipate, I know in the end Drew is right where he should be. And this love story is everything I needed. His character everything I wanted.
This series will always be an all time favorite of mine. The deceit, the twists, the evil machinations, the dark dark destruction. All are riveting, page-turning, delicious. But most of all, it's these characters. These fierce, flawed, vibrant, and ultimately victorious in their own way characters. My ultimate Scooby Gang. And I could not love each and every one of them more....even if it makes me sad to say goodbye.
Be sure to read this in order- this series has to be!
