i've tried to read this book 3 separate times. I keep just trying to push through. my expectations were high as i loved Susan Dennard's debut book Truthwitch.

i have seen others give this book great reviews. i very much wish that was the case for me. the fmc was annoying and whiny, the plot boring and the magical secluded town was not as interesting as i anticipated. 

in the new year, one of my goals was peace, and unfortunately, this book only gives me problems. i have decided to just this book let go. if it doesn't sit right within my soul, then it wasn't for me. 
i will mourn this loss.
