Voyeur Extraordinaire by Cora Reilly

4.5

THE SERIES HAS BEEN ABBANDONED
I'm quite sad that there is not going to be a sequel because it kind of ends with a cliffhanger but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I rediscovered how much I am partial to Reilly's writing and this book has some tropes that I live for.
Recommended if you like ~2015 new adult/adult romances and you don't mind reading just the first book in a duet.

SPOILERS
Gripes: not having the second book. How much the heroine was throwing herself at the hero and the fact that she wanted love from him when it was clear that he just wanted sex. The fact that the voyeurism was only the premice and it doesn't seem to be part of their relationship later on.

Besides that I ate in everything up: her waitress job (sexy but also degrading), him being a rich and mean, him having sex with other women, their family connection and the upper middle class vibes. I adored her friend, her boyfriend and the dog.

I was looking foreward to the drama with her prom date, the flirtation with the colleague, the relationship with the sister. But alas we will never know.
At the beginning. I thought that the "she" who the hero mentioned to the heroine as who had sent her was going to be an ex but maybe it could have been this sister (in this case was she going to be the antagonists?)

It could have become a new favourite of mine but I fear that I am going to forget it because it feels like I have read only half of a book
