for the life of me i do not know why this book needed a sequel but alas. here we are. just mediocre royal drama punctuated by sex with a yt man every 5 chapters. for the life of me i did not care about anything this book tried to make me care about at any point in time. wasn't quite a snoozefest but felt more like a collection of disjointed scenes that were cut from the first book and a plotline that was supposed to be in the first book but wasn't. could've been an email -- or a novella at best.
