The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0
This book is amazing. WOW. Okay so I know I'm probably one of the last people to read this beauty but it hit so many different emotions I am speechless. It has taken me all morning to find the words to write this review and to just somehow convey how great this book is. The storyline is based on a Hollywood movie star, Evelyn Hugo, reaching out to a magazine company to give her first interview in decades but she specifically requests a struggling and relatively 'low down the ladder' reporter, Monique. However little do they all know that Evelyn wants to actually spill ALL of the tea about her life. The good, the bad, the ugly and her seven husbands. In this emotional rollercoaster as she describes all of the events of her life when she became a movie star in the 50's to the present day she reveals her biggest secret about who she truly loved in life, and no it wasn't one of her husbands it was a female co-star who she had a long term relationship with behind closed doors. It is one of those books that is hard to review without spoilers so I'm going to wrap it up here because I think everyone should read this book and if that last little bit of info doesn't pique your interests then nothing will. Honestly this book is heartbreaking, empowering, jaw dropping, thrilling and just incredible! If you haven't read it I genuinely cannot recommend it enough.
