"You all know what to do if I don't come back, " I say. The voices echo in my ear. "Wipe your browser history."

Book one in the Mike Bravo Ops series follows Isaac aka Iris who if you have read this authors Famous series you will have met briefly & Brock aka Saint who the MBO team rescues from a mission gone wrong at the start of this book. These two vaguely know each other from basic training years ago and each left an impression on the other that initially fuels their attitudes towards each other, they are both super competitive and I enjoyed them trying to one up each other throughout this book, it created some great banter and humour filled moments. There is definitely an element of insta-lust here but I didn't mind it as much as I usually do and it didn't take these boys long to cave into their desires for each other regardless of the rules that say otherwise.

This was a quick and easy listen with likeable MCs and interesting side characters, good humour, and spice with low to no angst between the main couple. I would have liked a smidge more tension given the jobs these guys do, though. There were also great found family vibes with the Mike Bravo team, and both Alexander Cendese and Tim Paige were a joy to listen to as always. Audiobook was available to me with my Everand subscription. 🌶🌶
