The daughter of Norwegian Police Inspector William Wisting finds herself on the cusp of danger when she breaks up with her boyfriend and moves into a closed-up summer cottage, as Wisting coincidentally investigates a murder nearby. Lots of cold, lashing rain, high winds and clammy fog make the book a classic 'cozy.' There are more than a few twists and turns to the plot but stilted language, a stiff main character and undeveloped secondary characters make this police procedural a bit of a plod. Recommended if like Scandanavian crime novels, but I think there are better options out there.
