This is a really beautiful book. It's not all flowing poetical lines or a perfectly crafted world or any of the things that usually make me call a book beautiful. It is exactly what I needed right now - permission to be who I am, unapologetically. It is brimming with honesty and vitality and brings you along for complicated and messy real life full of love and hope and reminds you that if you start with love and work with love... And don't forget that it's ok to lovingly prioritize yourself.... That life will keep going and you can take yourself to where you need to be. With intention.

I picked up this book at a crossroads, having just made the painful decision to leave the teaching profession. This book reminded me that I am not my labels, and it is healthy to keep reshaping myself.
I read this while the world sheltered from Covid-19 and it reminded me to self-care; my depression and anxiety are not on vacation, they are on overdrive, and I need to check in with them and make adjustments. Glennon gives really great advice on that. And when I ”miss me, ” I need to go looking for myself. Because I'm out there, and I don't have to waste time suffering.

Thank you, Glennon, for sharing yourself with us. It's really helping me change my conversation with myself. ❤️
