This book was exceptionally stunning and even more so as the author's debut. I loved the combination of different folklore and how well it was woven into the story. I think the alternating perspectives really added to the narrative and I liked seeing what each character was experiencing. I thought it was really rich and I felt immersed in the world that was created. I liked that there were different points of action and when things happened they really happened. I wasn't expecting certain twists and was definitely screaming at times. I also want to explore into certain characters and i hope the rest of the trilogy brings them to the front. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to more folklore.
