So I actually received this book as part of a gift so this author was completely new to me. Upon receiving it, I  instantly looked it up and realized it was a dark fantasy romance and wasn't sure how I would like it but knew I would have to give it a try and I am SO glad I did. 

First and foremost, I say this with the warning that I am a dark romance reader-- know this is a DARK FANTASY BOOK. Check the triggers before reading, there are dark themes and take them seriously. While it is a great book, it is not light and fluffy. Also there are four books to this series and they are meant to be read in order. 

With the amazing writing and character building that pulled me in straight from the first page and kept me captivated until the end (and then some, because uh cliffy!) to the touch her and be unalived vibes, this book had it all! This book was dark, spicy, red flags tossing up everywhere, all the things we love about dark romance, and then you add the fantasy in and this book was chef's kiss. 

You got me Lacey Lehotzky, hook line and sinker. I'm here for it and onto book 2 I go!
