I never thought I would see the day that I would rate a romance novel 5⭐, but here we are! I *loved* this book. The characters were real and believable, both in good moments and in times of conflict between them (which is always a pet peeve for me, when conflicts feel contrived). The portrayal of Chloe's disability and her anxieties resonated so deeply with me. Loved having the perspective shift between both characters so we could be in both of their heads, and seeing them both grow. Unexpectedly steamy, I was listening to this on a plane and felt a bit 😅 hoping that there was no sound leak from my headphones. Not sure if I feel compelled to read the sequels, since I loved these characters so much that starting over with new ones feels like a lot of investment, but very glad that I read this.
