New evidence on the Soviet rejection of the Marshall Plan, 1947 : two reports / Scott D. Parrish, Mikhail M. Narinsky. Volume no.9 1994 [Leather Bound] by Scott D. Parrish

3.0

The reasons for the Soviet Union's rejection of the Marshall Plan have long been debated. New Evidence on the Soviet Rejection of the Marshall Plan, based on newly declassified documents, offers a new perspective on this watershed event that escalated into the conflict we call the Cold War. The United States initially saw the rejection of the Marshall Plan as evidence of Soviet aggression. From reports and notes in the recently opened archives of the former Soviet Foreign Ministry and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU), the authors offer an entirely new perspective on the various previous interpretations and help us gain a clearer view of the events of 1947.
