Murder on the Marlow Belle by Robert Thorogood
funny
lighthearted
2.5
I've enjoyed my time with this murder mystery series however that enjoyment has slowly waned over the course of each book and I feel like this may be my last. I didn't feel the sense of community that Robert Thorogood initially created with this village and the core characters, which was a complaint I also had with book three.
Whilst I found the initial premise of the murder mystery intriguing, my interest waned over the course of the story and I found myself completely confused by the ending and resolution. It felt too long winded to be comprehensible so I think I would've enjoyed this more had I stuck to reading the physical book rather than via audiobook as this is the format I've read the previous books in the series.
