I enjoyed this book a lot more than I expected to based on what I had read and heard about it previously. While it is a bit overlong, I thought this was really pretty good. It took me even longer to get through this book than it ought to have because we got a 3-month old puppy six days ago, lol.

The main negatives of this book are the large character cast with several characters not making a huge impression and the ending didn't go with a bang. But I liked the premise and the story and I'm looking forward to Owen King's new book next spring.
