Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth by V.C. Andrews
3.0
I grew up reading Flowers in the Attic. In many ways those novels shaped how I choose books now. It also shaped how I viewed the world because well, it's pretty horrific content. I found this book in my local thrift store (which is pretty much the entire reason I go to thrift stores: BOOKS!) and was surprised. Seeing as Flowers in the Attic is essentially Cathy's diary.
It was interesting seeing it from Christopher's view so far, but I don't know...I'd rather reread Flowers in the Attic, which I will do..again...very soon.
Maybe I'm just weird. But to me this isn't V.C. Andrews writing. The emotional connection in Flowers in the Attic was missing in this.
I'll stick with my first love of these books.
