This volume showcases everything I love about this series. From Fumi's self-doubts and being overwhelmed by the events of her past yet feeling she has nowhere to turn, to the Hoshikata family sitting her down and being like "This is literally our job - depend on us!", to the author's random side comments about pajamas and other random factoids while the most serious storyline is going on in the meantime -- I just eat it all up. I love how the family pushes Fumi to become more confident in herself by leading her gently to the realization that she can handle these sorts of tasks and situations on her own as long as she's determined to keep at it and stop running away. I love how even when Kyutaro is confused and reluctant to get close to Fumi due to his past, he still welcomes her with open arms without hesitation after a nightmare. It's just all golden, the epitome of excellent storytelling and character development in my opinion.
