Six Summers to Fall by C.W. Farnsworth
5.0
This is my favorite summer read this year! These characters in this story are so complex- most people will not like Harper. She’s a difficult character but as the story goes on you understand her actions- maybe not justified but you can understand her more. Then you want to root for her love story with Drew. She crushed on Drew in high school not knowing Drew crushed on her just as much!! Why is it always the clueless love story that pulls you in? To me these two had so much chemistry. The story starts off with Harper visiting her families cottage on the way to a week celebration for her younger sister’s wedding. Drew grew up in the next door cottage and they have known each other since childhood. Harper hasn’t been back to the cottage in years avoiding emotion trauma from her childhood. She plans to stay a night and drive rest of way up to the wedding celebrations. She runs into Drew and then he invites himself to the week long celebrations. It’s a lake house setting, friends and family, family drama, boating adventures, lots of spice, love story. This is the perfect beach read!
