Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne

4.0

I read Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne a little while ago and found it quite dull so I wasn't expecting much from this, but I really enjoyed this one!

Published in 1872, our routine-loving protagonist Phileas Fogg makes a bet with some friends that he can travel around the world in 80 days (obviously before the use of aeroplanes). He's joined on his journey by his loyal valet Passepartout and together they run into all sorts of situations, always racing against the clock.

If you like to travel, I think you'll like this story a lot.
