I really really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn’t connect. I was wildly confused from the first chapters and not in a “it’s a fantasy you’ll get it later on” kind of way. There were just too many details thrown out at once. As you go on, it gets a little better, but honestly I was still lost. Between that and not being able to connect with the FMC and not interested in any of the side characters POVs so far, I just had to stop.
Maybe it’s me and not the book, but it wouldn’t be fair for me to continue on at this point with my mindset right now. I absolutely love the idea of this book and might try again down the road.
