This was Amanda Marquardt’s debut novel and let me tell you if you love small town, cowboy and suspense this is the book for you! Just know now that it does end on a cliff hanger but don’t let that stop you from reading it!

We meet Maci in this book and Maci is a fierce MMC. She is unapologetically herself and I absolutely love that in a FMC. We see her head to her hometown for her grandmother’s funeral and this is also where she runs into the handsome cowboy Sutton.

Sutton…oh Sutton how I wish you were real and I could take you home (if I wasn’t married of course). Sutton is the perfect southern gentleman but also gives off those touch her and d*e vibes. We see how easily Sutton and Maci become friendly.

One thing I loved about this book was the natural flow of Sutton and Maci. Their relationship did not feel forced and it felt very natural. I really appreciated the communication these two have together and how open Maci is with Sutton. The friendship circle both Maci and Sutton have are the best and the ones you love to see in books because now you want to see everyone get their HEA.

The cute moments of Sutton and Maci dancing together every chance they get will live rent free in my head…again Sutton is just the perfect gentleman but don’t let that fool you 😏.

The ending….I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers and I need that 2nd book asap!!

If you love small town, suspense, cowboy(rancher), he falls first and found family this is a book for you!

Thank you to Amanda and The Author Agency for the arc of this book
