Book Lovers by Emily Henry
4.0
Type of read: Commuter read.
What made me pick it up: Saw on a friend's read list.
Overall rating: "The last page ache. The deep breath in after you've set the book aside."
Any book that starts out with the main character knowingly painting themselves a cold-hearted b*tch is a book for me. The wit and humor in 'Book Lovers' immediately drew me in, the realistic romance kept me reading. It's not your traditional romance and that is so greatly appreciated. I enjoyed the characters and their personalities. There's something about Charlie and Nora's story that just draws you in. I wasn't a huge fan of Libby, I know she was an important piece to the plot, but I just think she was written annoyingly. Every time the narrator came on for her voice I wanted to cringe because I knew I'd hear "SISSY" and that was just blegh. I would absolutely recommend 'Book Lovers.' It's a nice change of pace for a romance.
Reader's Note: 'Book Lovers' does include mild sexual content.
