The writing in this was atrocious. I read the first 4 pages and could not stand to read any more: I skimmed the rest purely to see what would happen at the end. This leant so much into telling instead of showing and the sentence style felt very immature.

I have read a lot of horror and don't mind egregious violence which this book has in spades. But it felt like trying to squish as many awful things into a little pages as possible.

I was excited for this but oh boy did it let me down.
