I liked it, but felt a bit disappointed when I finished it. I suppose I was hoping for something cleverer? More twisty and existential? But there wasn't enough worldbuilding for that. For most of it I was a little mystified, feeling a constant lack of context. I loved the writing style and voice of the narrator though. If this was more fleshed out, it worked have worked better for me. Nevertheless, I am interested in the sequel and will read that too (and any others that are planned!). 3.5 stars.
