What My Bones Know: A Memoir of Healing from Complex Trauma by Stephanie Foo

emotional informative inspiring medium-paced

5.0

Wow. This was such a beautifully written and vulnerable book. Not only do I feel like I got to know Stephanie and her story, but I really feel like I learned a lot about complex PTSD and generational trauma. I applaud Stephanie for discussing abuse in Asian communities (a topic that people validly don’t want to bring attention to) as well as sharing snippets of her personal therapy sessions.

A must read, even if you haven’t experienced trauma yourself. Well researched and well executed.
