They Came from the Ocean by Boris Bačić

I don't normally write reviews because I'm bad at synthesizing my feelings but I feel compelled.
I don't think this author knows what the word complacent means and every characters either nods or smiles complacently or has a complacent look on their face when that is clearly not the emotion happening. That and the use of the word gait to mean "jog" really got to me.
Overall, I like deep sea horror and the premise was fun even if the characters were kind of stilted and always nodding complacently.
