I'm not sure what I expected from this memoir, or if I even had any expectations at all.
I am a Heather apologist to the core, so I was entering this with a bias, and I have always been partial stories about leavingcults harmful groups and finding yourself after. I enjoyed Heather's view of Mormonism, and I liked very much how she structured the story. From childish innocence, to disillusionment, to falling back for comfort, to finally realizing that she needed to put herself first.
I also liked the view into RHOSLC and Beauty Lab. I found the BL stuff especially interesting.
I'll always cheer for Heather and her daughters, and I do believe Heather has deep seeded trauma from Mormonism and her marriage.
Overall, it's a quick read (listen) that's worth your time, and you can tell Heather was emotional at parts of the story.
