Review: To Shatter The Night was the Mecca of Katherine Quinn Fantasy! Jude and Kiara absolutely destroyed my heart in this book in every way they could but by the end they had rebuilt the foundation so strong that it left me sitting in satisfaction about the completion of their story and their HEA. This book takes place right where the first book ended and Katherine left no time waiting for Kiara to remiss over Jude leaving her. The immediate shift in her character enthralled me all at once since we truly began to see her fierce inner fire as she began to accept her magic and the prophecy that her and Jude were born to complete.

This book interwove so many old and new characters that I found myself becoming immersed in the world of magic and mayhem that Kiara leaves in her wake but I also fell in love with Liam and Jake again as we saw more and more of them and the bond they shared with Kiara. I can honestly say that Jake became my favorite character in this book and I adored all the levity and happiness that he brought to Kiara and to Liam later in the book. The way Katherine was able to showcase the craziness that he encompassed in a way that made you laugh was truly one of the best parts in the book (epic fantasy and romance aside!)

This book also amped up the world building a TON. Kiara and Jude both have to battle their inner demons and trauma but also face the end game of the Mistlands prophecy that introduces all the Gods and Goddesses. I appreciated how Katherine took the time to cultivate and create the stories for each major God or Goddess but also show how Jude and Kiara were parallel or relevant to the fight alongside them. The turmoil these beings added to the plot had me giggling since I knew Katherine was just going to make Kiara go at the hard core!

To Shatter The Night also reveals the deepening bond between Kiara and Jude. Seeing the innate bond grow stronger between Jude and Kiara allowed me to see how they each CHOSE each other to be each otherโ€™s person but also how they were tied together by more than just magic and fate. Katherine truly did these two justice with the way she poured heart and soul into both of them but also had them be vulnerable with human mistakes. At the end of the day this book is one of my top romantasy books of the year and for sure one of my all time favorite books from Entangled Publishing!

Rating: 100+; To Shatter The Night broke me down and taped me up in the best of ways and Katherine truly did Jude and Kiara justice with this ending!

Thank you to  @entangledteen & @entangled_publishing for sending me this eARC!
