Excellent continuation of the series. This sequel was slower and gentler for the majority of the book, but in the last third, it was full of action and I couldn't put it down! What I love most about this series, aside from magic of course, is its portrayal of relationships. It's excellent at showing healthy relationships of all sorts (friendships, romances, communities). There is LGBTQ+ representation. There's also feminism, but it's done in such a way that the power balance is equal--this is what every world needs. To bring each other up to the same level and not force anyone down in the process.
