So - I had to DNF this book for a couple of reasons. But first, I have to tell you why I DID NOT want to DNF it. This book is funny, weird, witty, and unlike anything I've ever read. I wanted to keep reading it, I really did.

I had to DNF it because 1) all the "leftover" animals just made me so sad. They had insights and observations about the human world that rang true and were also depressing. Despite the swearing and delightful bizarreness, I was just feeling too sad when I read it. And 2) I ran out of renewals at my library. : / I might pick this one up again eventually. I really want to read the rest of it!
