A Series of Unfortunate Events on speed

This book may not be for me. I do consider myself a lover of trauma, but this is...different. Nine Inches is written in short story form, which is a smart way to go. It allows the author to tell a full life story without having to go too far in depth. However, for readers like me who prefer to know the main character well and have an understanding of their flaws, I couldn't connect at all. Granted, Co-Co is not a likable character, and she doesn't have to be. I just needed moments to get to know her. Instead, I got back to back terrible situations interspersed with raunchy scenes. I think this book would fall under the category of 'character profile'. The book isn't bad, but only a specific niche of people enjoys 'character profiles' starring untrustworthy characters.
