So, this book was a trip, and it is very much about the sexual exploration that Gideon goes on now that he has run away from home. He gets a job as the cabin boy on this pirate ship, though he doesn't know it's a pirate ship.
He then proceeds to lose his virginity to the captain, sleep with the first mate, and then both of them at the same time, then gets kidnapped by a spurned lover of the captain, sleeps with a member of the merfolk who happens to be gender fluid, (but does have a penis in this situation) brings him back to the ship, and then they all do it! After that, the cat that he bore his soul to inbetween all of the banging ends up cursed with a human form, and wants Gideon for his own.
Needless to say, the sexual scenes were interesting, and I think I'm going to try out the next one!
