The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley
5.0
So I would have been perfectly happy if this book had just been a fun exploration of cross-era friendship. That part is so interesting! The characters are all so delightful! Haha, 1916 and 1847 are buds and they have silly little arguments about boats vs ships! Margaret from the 17th century adapts to being a 21st century lesbian but retains her period accent!
But then, the narrator starts to allude to weird, maybe sinister stuff happening in the background and it gets even more interesting.
And THEN, stuff gets even wilder and more riveting! There's something for everyone here, folks!
