This a a very well-developed world and I enjoyed being immersed in it. I do wish that the protagonist had more of a growth arc, but she’s a wonderful, fierce young woman who is clear on her purpose. The plot was a little flat for me, and there are sections explaining the magic system and historical background of the world that I wasn’t into, but I just kind of skimmed over those.
