The Second Sleep by Robert D. Harris
4.0
I’m somewhat annoyed by how much I enjoyed this book, but I don’t know why. I find stories that depict a world created by humankind’s follies to be fascinating. I also enjoy mysteries when they are not formulaic. This novel has both of those qualities. I have never read Robert Harris’ work before, but I’m now a fan of his writing style. I feel like he made some decisions that a lot of other authors would have shied away from. I like that. If you’re interested in a mystery that’s a bit different from the norm of the genre, give this one a try.
