The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
5.0
A group of friends get together every year for a New Years Reunion and this year the reunion is being held at a secluded wilderness estate.
The lodge and cabins are surrounded by beautiful scenery, a winter wonderland that is completely cut off from the outside world. The only people at the lodge are the group of friends, another couple, and the 3 staff who run the place.
Everything is going well, not great, but not badly. The friends find themselves getting over the initial awkwardness and getting back into the swing of things, being in each other company. They are enjoying their time together. That is until someone from the group goes missing and is found dead. It doesn’t look like an accident either.
A snowstorm has managed to shut them out even more. Police cant get to them until the snow lightens enough for a helicopter to be able to land safely.
Someone among them is a killer, but which one of them is it?
As the story plays out so does all their secrets but are they worth killing over? Thats the big question.
This was a fast paced read and a perfect whodunit. I enjoyed every minute of this book! So many different characters and personalities each with their own baggage, it makes it hard to guess who the killer is until the pieces start falling into place!
