Happenstance by Tessa Bailey

I saw this at work and I thought, “Huh… I haven’t heard of this one!”
Now I know why.
While the steam was great, everything else was not. The characters were caricatures, the four-way insta-love was RIDICULOUS, and the overall plot was just a mess.
I realized while I was reading that probably every Bailey book I’ve read has been insta-love with men who just simp over the woman. I don’t mind a little worshipping, but good grief… I don’t think our protagonist was as amazing as these guys tried to portray her. It was a bit much.
Will I give Tessa Bailey another shot when her next book comes out in February? Yup. Do I know why? Nope!
