Truth Telling: Seven Conversations about Indigenous Life in Canada by Michelle Good

Does what it says on the tin. If you've read much of the Reconciliation from an Indigenous Perspective genre, this isn't saying a whole lot that's new. However it's an excellent of the genre, and if you want somewhere to start this is a good one. Good lays out the issues clearly, and is a compelling storyteller. One chapter that stood out for me was about the history of Indigenous literature in Canada and the U.S., which is a topic I'd love to read a whole book about. It definitely gave me the extra push to find some of those older books. Good also made a striking point about the artist who sacrificed time they could've been using to make art in order to build the infrastructure for other artists to grow.
